Rabbi Leibel Schapiro is a highly respected Rosh Yeshivah (dean) of the Landow Yeshivah of Miami Beach, a long-time emissary of the Lubavitcher Rebbe in Florida, and a noted Talmudist, and lecturer. Rabbi Shapiro is head of the Rabbinical Court (Av Beit Din) of Miami Beach, a world renowned expert in matters of Jewish religious and civil law and Jewish mysticism.

Yud Shevat
The 10th day of Shevat is the yahrtzeit of the sixth Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Schneersohn, of righteous memory (1880-1950). It is also the day in 1951 that the seventh Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, of righteous memory, formally accepted the leadership of Chabad-Lubavitch.
