About The Festival

Celebrating community, light, and unity at the heart of Downtown Houston.

This year marks a major milestone: the 31st anniversary of the Grand Menorah Lighting at Houston City Hall. For over three decades, Chabad Outreach’s annual celebration has served as a vibrant symbol of religious freedom, Jewish pride, and community unity, bringing together families, business leaders, and elected officials from across Greater Houston.

In honor of this 31-year tradition, we are planning our most ambitious celebration yet: Chanukah Fest 2026 on Sunday, December 6, 2026 (the 3rd night of Chanukah).

Enjoy live performances by school choirs bands, International Israeli Pop Vocalist Itzik Dadya The 8th Day Band, delicious Kosher delicacies, over 20 activity booths, strolling performers, a digital raffle, toy drive, and a fireworks display behind the Grand Menorah.

Vendor Village & Crafts

Over 20 interactive booths featuring Judaica, Chanukah crafts, educational displays, photo booths, and community exhibits.

3:00 PM Onwards

Food & Concessions

Fresh hot latkes, gourmet sufganiot (donuts), and kosher festival foods provided by Laykie's, Casa, and Saba's.

6:00 PM Special Ceremony

Ceremony & Fireworks

Grand Menorah Lighting, with City, State, and National officials & dignitaries presentation, followed by a fireworks show over City Hall.
