The Holy Temple in Jerusalem
             3 session course

Offered through the Project Talmud Summer Mini Yeshiva, the classes will address the following:

  • Why is the Temple Mount still sacred to the Jews?
  • How was the Temple constructed?
  • What was the divine service in the Temple?
  • What is its spiritual meaning to Jews today?
  • What are the roles of the Kohanim (priests)?
  • Who owns the Temple mount?

This class has particular relevance to the Three Week mourning period (July 23-Aug 14) The Al-mighty declared: “The study of the Torah’s [design of the Beis HaMikdash] can be equated to its [actual] construction... As a reward for their study and their occupation with it, I will consider it as if they actually built the Beis HaMikdash.” (Midrash Tanchuma Tzav 4).

The classes will be offered Sundays from 10-11am beginning July 24 at Chabad Outreach at 11000 Fondren Rd Ste B104, 77096. Instructor: Rabbi Moishe Traxler.
